This is a 4-week contract opportunity with a high-performing finance team, where you'll be responsible for managing up to 100 individual accounts.

As an Accounts Payable Officer, you'll be providing support during one of the busiest times for the business-an exciting, fast-paced opportunity.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

• Account and Bank Reconciliation: Perform daily, weekly, and monthly reconciliations of high-volume accounts payable transactions to ensure that all payments and invoices are correct.
• Invoice Processing: Review, verify, and process vendor invoices, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
• Troubleshoot issues: Handle discrepancies and liaise with vendors to resolve any issues.
• Payment Processing: Ensure timely payment of vendor invoices and resolve any payment issues that may arise. Prepare and process payment runs.
• Vendor Relations: Maintain strong relationships with vendors to address payment inquiries, resolve discrepancies, and manage outstanding issues efficiently.

About You

To excel in this role, you should possess the following skills and experience:

• Proven experience (18 months minimum) in accounts payable, with a focus on high-volume account reconciliation.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
• Excellent attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel (e.g., VLOOKUP, pivot tables).
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact with vendors and internal teams.
