Join the Uniting Communities team as a 6 month fixed term Senior Payroll Officer!
We are seeking two experienced Senior Payroll Officers to join our team on a 6-month fixed term basis. The successful candidates will provide a broad range of payroll services, leveraging extensive knowledge of business policy, procedures, awards, taxation, and legislation to deliver high-quality, consistent, and efficient payroll services.
This role involves managing complex and competing demands with multiple stakeholders while meeting customer expectations.
Responsibilities
In this role, you will complete service requests and process transactions within the agreed organisational and payroll quality assurance framework, ensuring employee records are accurate and maintained, payroll data integrity, and timely and correct payment of employees and entitlements.
Perform complex manual calculations to ensure accurate payroll processing.
Reconcile payments to ensure all transactions are accurate and compliant.
Utilise a high level of Excel skills for data analysis, reporting, and payroll processing.
Interpret awards to ensure compliance with relevant legislation and agreements.
Qualifications and Experience
You bring extensive experience in payroll services, strong knowledge of business policy, procedures, awards, taxation, and legislation, and excellent customer service and communication skills.
Ability to manage complex and competing demands.
Experience in coaching and mentoring staff.
Proficiency in complex manual calculations and payment reconciliation.
Advanced Excel skills for data analysis and reporting.
Expertise in award interpretation.
