About the Role

We are looking for an experienced System Administrator / Helpdesk Staff Member with a strong understanding of Microsoft on-premises and cloud infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of IT experience and be comfortable providing hands-on support in a service-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities

Provide Level 2/3 IT support to clients in a professional and approachable manner

Manage and maintain on-premises server infrastructure, including Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, and DHCP

Support and administer Microsoft 365 and Azure services

Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to networking, virtualization, storage, and security

Monitor system performance, backups, and security, ensuring best practices are followed

Assist with user onboarding, access management, and IT documentation

Work within a service management framework (ITIL or similar) to log and resolve tickets

Provide both onsite and remote support to clients across Geelong and surrounding areas

Key Requirements

Minimum 3 years’ experience in IT support, helpdesk, or system administration

Strong knowledge of Microsoft on-premises infrastructure, including Windows Server, Active Directory, and Group Policy

Experience with Microsoft 365, Entra, and other cloud services

Understanding of IT service management principles (e.g., ITIL) and experience working in a helpdesk environment

Good troubleshooting skills across servers, networks, and end-user devices

Strong communication and customer service skills

Experience with virtualization technologies (Hyper-V, VMware) is a plus

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a supportive team environment
