About the Role
You will work in a newly created role of Financial Systems Administrator, reporting to the Head of Technology and Information Security within our well-established ICT and Facilities team.
The Financial Systems Administrator will be responsible for managing, maintaining, and optimising financial systems. This role includes configuring and integrating these systems with other platforms like The Lookout Way to streamline operations, improve efficiency, and support business objectives.
The core responsibilities of the role include:
System Administration – Oversee user access, security settings, system configurations, and updates to ensure smooth operation.
Integration Development – Design and manage integrations between finance and business systems, working with IT to automate workflows.
Data Management & Reporting – Develop reports, dashboards, and reconciliation processes to ensure data accuracy.
Process Improvement – Identify inefficiencies and implement enhancements to optimise financial workflows.
User Support & Training – Provide technical support and training to ensure effective system use.
Do you have what it takes?
Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business management, or information systems.
5+ years of experience in financial system administration with hands-on expertise in Xero and NetSuite.
Experience building integrations between financial systems using APIs.
Familiarity with SQL queries, scripting languages, or APIs for customisations.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial processes.
Proficiency in Excel (advanced functions) and reporting tools like Sisense.
Excellent communication skills for cross-departmental collaboration.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
