The Childs World Early Learning Group is looking for 5 enthusiastic and passionate Early Childhood Teachers to work in their Government Approved Kindergarten Rooms. Various positions are available for either our 1st or 2nd ECT's within our centres which are located in the Cairns region.

The roles available are for Full time - Part time or Casual persons, applicants can work up to 38 hours per week on a full time or permanent part time basis or can work 3 to 6 hours per day between the hours of 9am - 3pm Monday to Friday the choice is yours. You may even want to work 2 to 3 days per week which would be ok.

Our centres include: Childs World - Little World - Junior World - Small Steps Academy - Kindy Zone Mt Sheridan, - Kindy Zone Manoora - Butterflies Childcare.

Qualifications Required - 3 Different Options Are Listed Below:

You hold an ACECQA approved ECT Qualification.

Or you are an individual that holds an approved early childhood education and care diploma who is enrolled in and is ‘actively working towards’ obtaining an ACECQA approved early childhood teaching qualification.

Or you are an individual who is enrolled in and ‘actively working towards’ an approved early childhood teaching qualification AND has completed at least 50 per cent of the ECT qualification. (For option 3 evidence of all transcripts detailing the at least 50% completed subjects towards the ECT qualification is required)

All suitably qualified persons including overseas workers are welcome to apply for these positions.

Visa Sponsorship:

The company has Business Sponsorship Approval from the Government to sponsor overseas of qualified workers which lets skilled people with a relevant occupations work in Australia for an employer who can't find suitable Australians to do the required work. This occupation falls within the Government's approved list of occupations. *Any successful sponsorship is subject to relevant Visa conditions/types, successful ACECQA skills assessment results, English test scores and successful trial period etc.

Renumeration Package:

We will custom design a renumeration package with you, which includes flexible working hours with more than comfortable wages and childcare assistance for your own children if required. We want a renumeration package that benefits all successful applicants. Any specific requirements in this regard can be confidentially discussed with us to ensure applicants gain the utmost from their workplace positions. We are open to any suggestions applicants may have to ensure their work, financial and family targets are achieved in all areas.

Successful applicants must be able to Pass a National Police Check and hold a current Queensland Working With Children Blue Card.

Establish and maintain team relationships with other early childhood educators

Build fantastic rapport and incorporate a strong home-school partnership program with the parents

Understand the regulatory requirements listed in the National Regulations and National Quality Standards, with focus to provide an excellent level of education and care to the children at the centre-based service

Have current First Aid Qualifications, Anaphylaxis and Asthma Training, if successful.
