About the company:

A leading Australian-owned Building Management Systems (BMS) integrator, specialising in designing, engineering, commissioning, installing, and maintaining systems based on open and interoperable communication protocols. They collaborate closely with clients to develop solutions that enhance building efficiency and meet sustainability requirements. ​

They have an exciting opportunity for a Lead BMS Engineer to essentially act as a technical manager to oversee and deliver upcoming hospital and data centre projects.

What your day looks like:

  • Lead the design, development, and integration of Building Management Systems (BMS), ensuring optimal performance, energy efficiency, and interoperability with other building services.
  • Oversee BMS project execution from conception to completion, managing technical teams, coordinating with stakeholders, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and client requirements.
  • Lead the commissioning, testing, and fine-tuning of BMS installations, diagnosing system issues, and implementing effective solutions to optimize system performance.
  • Act as the primary technical point of contact for clients, consultants, and contractors, providing expert advice, conducting training, and ensuring alignment with project objectives.
  • Stay ahead of industry trends, drive advancements in BMS technology, and develop best practices to enhance operational efficiency and sustainability.

About you:

  • Engineering degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Building Services Engineering, with extensive experience in BMS design, programming, and integration.
  • Proven ability to manage BMS projects, lead technical teams, and coordinate with clients, contractors, and stakeholders.
  • Strong proficiency with leading BMS platforms - Niagara & Siemens essential.
  • PLC experience highly desirable but no essential
  • Ability to diagnose system issues, optimize performance, and develop innovative solutions for energy efficiency and automation.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to present technical information clearly to clients, consultants, and team members.
