Lyrebird College is a small independent school in Coldstream in the Yarra Ranges, that pursues excellence in the education of children with an Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) from ages 5 to 18.

About the role

Working closely with the Principal, the School Business Manager will support the College's vision and growth strategy. This role will entail the implementation of operations including Risk & Compliance, Accountability to relevant government authorities, OHS Management, Financial Management and management of Facilities & Resources.

The role will work throughout the year, including school holiday periods and accrues six (6) weeks annual leave per year.

Whilst primarily based onsite at Coldstream, the Business Manager role offers flexible working arrangements, with capacity to work remotely.

Essential requirements

Tertiary qualification in Business Management, Finance, Accounting or a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar school based position

Proficient in Microsoft Office including, Word, Excel, Outlook, and Microsoft 365

Working with Children’s Check and Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check (or willingness to obtain this)

Be legally entitled to work in Australia

Desirable

Prior experience in a similar role, preferably in a school setting

Experience working with MYOB accounting software
