About your new role
The Coordinator Enterprise Portfolio Management Office (EPMO) is responsible for establishing, managing, and overseeing the organisation’s Enterprise Portfolio Management Office, ensuring it operates as a permanent, centralised function for enterprise portfolio management excellence.
Combining leadership and strategic planning with project and portfolio management (PPM) expertise to ensure the organisation’s initiatives are aligned with its broader business goals and strategic objectives.
Key responsibilities include:
• Design, implement, and maintain the terms of reference for the Enterprise Portfolio Management Office to establish it as the central function for enterprise portfolio management practices and standards.
• Ensure the Portfolio(s) align with organisational strategy, with all projects contributing to business goals and delivering measurable benefits.
• Monitor Portfolio(s) activities to ensure they contribute to the organisation's bottom line and realise benefits from all programs and projects.
• Recruit, develop, and retain a high-performing Portfolio Management team, fostering growth through coaching, mentorship, and training.
• Collaborate with senior leaders, portfolio directors, and program managers to define, implement, and continuously improve the portfolio management framework.
• Assist in evaluating and sanctioning projects for inclusion in the Strategic Portfolio to ensure they align with organisational priorities.
• Ensure coordination and eliminate overlap across business initiatives, maintaining collaboration across all portfolio activities.
• Facilitate regular health checks and assurance on the portfolios to assess its alignment with organisational goals and make adjustments as necessary.
• Design and implement management dashboards to provide actionable insights into portfolio performance for senior leadership.
• Stay informed about external policy changes and inform stakeholders to ensure portfolio strategies remain aligned with business or regulatory shifts.
• Own and continuously improve enterprise portfolio, program project management frameworks, ensuring templates, procedures, and tools remain up to date and in line with best practices.
We're looking for people who have:
• Strong ability to influence stakeholders at all levels, proactively identify and resolve gaps in initiatives, and continuously improve portfolio processes to ensure successful outcomes.
• Degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Project/Program Management or similar or equivalent industry experience
• Min 5 years' experience managing large scale projects or programs or Enterprise Portfolio or Program Office
• Portfolio, Programme and Project Offices (P3O®) Practitioner or equivalent
• Driver Licence Class C unrestricted.
