We are currently seeking a Customer Service professionals who are passionate about providing exceptional service to the community to make the move into a fresh challenge with our client, a NSW Government Department!

What's in it for you:
- Temporary role until October 2025 - possibility of extension!
- $34.59 p/h + super
- Monday - Friday, 25 hours per week (candidates must be able to commit to part-time hours)
- Based in the Lithgow Office - no hybrid flexibility at this stage
- Role commencing on 28th April so candidates with short notice periods can be considered
- Be the first point of contact for a range of both complex and transactional enquiries, offering guidance and solutions to members of the community and customers
- Work on a rotational roster between 7am - 7pm, Monday - Friday, offering a real opportunity for work/life balance
- Structured training program and the opportunity to learn with other new starters
Key Responsibilities:
- First line of inquiry for inbound customer queries, as well as transferring calls to the appropriate area.
- Record customer information on internal systems
- Effectively handle customer enquiries over the phone, and respond to web enquiries
- Work on a large Government account and provide high level quality service to their customer base
- Assist with administrative and coordination tasks to support the business
- Offer genuine guidance and support to members of the community and customers
- Adapt across both transactional calls and more complex enquiries, giving guidance surrounding legislation and directing customer to resources where applicable
- Develop and maintain knowledge of NSW legislation and policies in order to effectively problem-solve and advise customers
- Strive to achieve internal targets and service levels
You will need to:
- Candidates must have previous customer service experience (preferably in a call centre environment) and a genuine desire to work in the contact centre space
- A good degree a computer literacy is required fore this role, with the ability to navigate a number of different IT systems
- For this role, candidates must be able to pass a full background check
- Visa holders will be considered, however candidates must be able to commit to the required duration of the assignment and 25 hours per week
- For the initial training and nesting period (approximately 8 weeks), candidates must be able to commit to 35 hours per week in the training facility in Penrith
