The Department of Justice and Community Safety (the department) is seeking an experienced Pega Senior System Architect to provide a critical role within Technology Solutions and Data Security.

About the Business Unit

The Department of Justice and Community Safety (the department) delivers a justice and community safety system that works to build a safer, fairer and stronger Victoria.

Technology Solutions and Data Security is delivering the Data and Digital Reform Agenda, which focuses on meeting the department's data and digital needs by providing responsive and sustainable services focused on supporting departmental outcomes.

Technology Solutions and Data Security explores and employs technology to enable the department's business function via the use of modern, appropriate platforms, products and services. It supports enterprise-wide platforms and services including critical applications, networks, telecommunication, call centres, hosting, intranet/internet sites; delivers business and corporate funded project; and overseas the delivering of services provided by technology service providers such as Cenitex.

About the Role

This role will be assigned to work on a large program of work to provide specialised development services specific to the Pega Business Process Management (BPM) platform ensuring the solution meets functional & technical specifications.

Working closely with technical specialists within an Agile delivery squad, you will be required to develop quality code in the Pega platform in accordance with defined sprint goals and scope of the program

About you

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • 5+ years of experience as a Pega Senior System Architect is a mandatory requirement of this position.
  • Demonstrated experience in implementing enterprise applications using Pega Case Management 8.x+ and Pega Government Platform.
  • Demonstrated experience in building rich UI experience for Pega applications.
  • Demonstrated experience of working in an Agile environment and understanding of Agile practices.
  • Experienced in Pega Customer Service and Pega Mobile is preferred.
  • Experience in Java and Java script frameworks preferred.
  • Experience working in large scale transformation programs of work in complex Government enterprises preferred.
  • Pega Certified Senior System Architect (PCSSA).
  • Relevant ICT tertiary qualification and demonstrated equivalent professional experience
