What you'll do

As a Principal Project Officer you will lead and provide expertise in the development and implementation of a statewide system to collect and manage informed consent for health care procedures and treatments. The development and implementation of the solution will require broad consultation with clinicians, consumers and various other stakeholders to determine the preferred model; development of project documents; review and update of business requirements; review and testing of the solution; and implementation of the final solution. For further detail of this roles key responsibilities please see the attached role description. There are TWO fixed-term temporary opportunities available for 5 months with possibility of extension. About you

We are searching for candidates who have demonstrated:

  • High level ability in the management of large-scale complex ICT projects through all phases of the project life cycle applying project management and change management methodologies with respect to data information systems including planning, budgeting, risk management, reporting and project closure
  • High level knowledge and application of appropriate project management methodologies, and an ability to provide expert advice on the use of appropriate project management techniques, methodologies and tools
  • Ability to develop and manage one or more defined communication channels and/or stakeholder groups, and facilitate the business change decision-making processes, and the planning and implementation of change
  • Proven high level negotiation, consultation, facilitation and effective written and oral communication skills for use in a complex program/project environment
