About the role:
This position is part of Digital Health Foundations Program which is undertaking a significant uplift of Department of Health’s ICT infrastructure environment.
Major projects of the program include:
Relocation of Department’s Data Centre Relocation
Remediation of ICT Communication Rooms across the major hospitals
Deployment of enterprise grade network and Wi-Fi at hospitals and health centre facilities across the State
Upliftment of legacy Mobile Duress service at Mental Health Service locations and migrating Department’s network observability system.
Experience / Skills:
Ability to lead and implement ICT initiatives and support all project management and coordination activities.
Expert in conducting in-depth ICT related current/end state analysis to inform high-level project planning and decision-making.
Ability to identify and mitigate complex risks and issues and lead stakeholder meetings and negotiations.
Exceptional critical thinking, decision-making, and documentation skills, with the ability to prepare documentation on technical analysis and recommendations.
Ability to optimise budget allocation and ensure financial objectives are met.
Advanced financial management skills, including budget monitoring, reporting, and ensuring financial compliance.
Expertise in developing and implementing comprehensive documentation systems, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
Superior communication skills, adept at leading communication efforts and ensuring stakeholder engagement.
Experience with ICT network infrastructure and cabling.
Duties / Skills:
Contribute to the development of project scope as part Project Management Plans, Scope of Works, RFT/RFQs and other relevant documents.
Contribute to project planning by developing and maintaining comprehensive project plans, schedules, and timelines.
Develop technical and procurement documentation, including development of site-specific scope of works and basic technical drawings.
Contribute to minor-works procurement and evaluation activities.
Assist with HICT Change Management documentation and coordination activities.
Act as a point of contact for vendors on-site, coordinating their activities and ensuring they meet project requirements.
Lead on-site project delivery and provide technical support.
Coordinate and participate in project testing activities.
Facilitate high-level team collaboration by coordinating activities and resolving complex conflicts.
Monitor project progress and implement strategic corrective actions.
Identify potential strategic risks and issues and develop high-level mitigation strategies.
Monitor and report issues, ensuring they are addressed promptly and strategically.
Lead contingency planning by developing and implementing comprehensive plans.
Ensure high-level compliance with organisational policies, procedures, and standards.
Communicate changes to stakeholders and ensure their strategic buy-in.
Develop and deliver high-level training materials and sessions to facilitate strategic change adoption.
