Greyhound Racing in Queensland is entering an exciting new phase with the merger of the Ipswich Greyhound Racing Club and Brisbane Greyhound Racing Club, forming the Queensland Greyhound Racing Club (QGRC). QGRC has begun transitioning operations to The Q, a new state of the art greyhound racing facility in Yamanto, situated on the outskirts of Ipswich. The facility includes 3 separate race tracks, a community club complete with a 350 seat restaurant, sports bar, a gaming room with 60 machines and a kids club.
The Club is committed to fostering a family-friendly and balanced workplace, offering flexibility in work arrangements to support personal commitments.
About the Role
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Digital Marketing and Communications Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and executing digital marketing strategies to enhance brand awareness, drive engagement, and generate visitation to our club. This role involves managing digital campaigns across multiple channels, including social media, email marketing, website management, digital signage and paid advertising. The successful candidate will also oversee loyalty club promotions, analyze customer data, and collaborate with internal teams to align marketing initiatives with business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Loyalty Club Management
Implement digital marketing strategies to drive venue visitation and increase customer spending.
Analyze customer spending data and develop targeted promotional campaigns.
Execute personalized email and SMS marketing campaigns to enhance loyalty club engagement.
Maintain and update the loyalty program daily to ensure accuracy and relevance.
Content Creation & Management
Develop high-quality, engaging content for multiple platforms, including social media, blogs, and email newsletters.
Optimize website content for search engines (SEO) to improve visibility and traffic.
Manage content scheduling and ensure consistency in branding and messaging.
Social Media Marketing
Manage social media accounts, including content creation, scheduling, and community engagement.
Plan and execute targeted social media advertising campaigns to increase reach and engagement.
Paid Advertising
Collaborate with internal teams to execute and manage paid advertising campaigns across digital platforms.
Monitor campaign performance and make data-driven adjustments for optimization.
Data Analysis & Reporting
Track and analyze key marketing metrics, including website traffic and campaign performance.
Generate reports to assess the effectiveness of marketing initiatives and provide actionable insights.
Collaboration & Strategy
Work closely with the Venue Operations and Racing Operations teams to ensure marketing efforts align with overall business goals.
Stay up to date with the latest digital marketing trends and best practices to drive innovation.
Qualifications, Skills & Experience

- Proficiency in digital marketing tools and platforms, including Google Analytics, Google Ads, social media management tools, CMS, and email marketing software.
- Experience managing loyalty programs, particularly in gaming, lotteries, or wagering environments.
- Knowledge of data analysis and reporting tools.
- Strong writing and communication skills with the ability to craft engaging content.
- Experience with graphic design and video editing (highly regarded).
- Ability to analyze data and identify trends to optimize marketing performance.
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent time management and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in execution.
