Langwarrin Medical Clinic is a well-established private GP practice located in the south-east suburbs of Melbourne, right on the doorstep of the beautiful Mornington Peninsula and is committed to providing high quality health care services for all of our patients and their communities.

Situated within easy access of freeways and major roads, a new Child-Care/Early Learning Centre next door and a mid-sized shopping centre on the other side make this an ideal opportunity for the right candidate.

We are seeking a new addition to compliment our amazing team of nurses to help ensure the smooth running of our nursing department. This is expected to be a permanent part time position offering 3 days per week with some flexibility to cover annual/sick leave as needed.

Selection criteria

Essential

AHPRA registration as a registered nurse Div 1

Current Working with Children Check

Recent nursing experience in General Practice (preferred but not essential)

Excellent and effective interpersonal and communication skills

Nurse Immunisation Certificate

Able to work as both part of a team and autonomously

Previous experience in Prac Soft / Medical Director/Best Practice would be advantageous

Tasks including but not limited to:

Maintain accurate documentation using clinical software including recall/reminder systems, IT and information management.

Assisting Doctors with minor procedures

Immunisations - travel and childhood

Cold chain management

Chronic disease management (GPMP, TCA and health assessments)

Infection control

Stock monitoring and ordering

ECGs

Iron infusions

Wound management

Triage and assessment of patients
