At Soothing Minds Counselling & Psychotherapy, we’re looking for a dedicated and skilled Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) Practitioner to join our growing allied health team. We deliver meaningful behavioural change for NDIS participants through evidence-based, human rights-oriented support.
This is a part-time/full-time role with a stable caseload, robust clinical support, and the chance to genuinely improve lives.
The Role
Working closely with a Lead PBS Practitioner, you will:
Conduct functional behaviour assessments
Develop and lodge interim and comprehensive behaviour support plans
Work directly with participants, families, schools, support workers, and clinicians
Provide PBS training to support staff and services
Contribute to clinical research and service development
Maintain compliance with NDIS Commission Behaviour Support and Restrictive Practices Rules
You'll Need
Registration as a PBS Practitioner (Core, Proficient or Advanced) with NDIS QSC
Relevant degree in Psychology, Social Work, OT, or a related discipline
Sound knowledge of trauma-informed practice and positive behaviour support
Experience supporting people with disability and complex behavioural needs
Current Driver’s Licence, Police Check, WWCC, NDIS Worker Screening
Experience working in NDIS, disability, or out-of-home care settings (highly regarded)
