About the role

Reporting to the Manager of People, we are currently seeking an experience Payroll & HR Officer to join our team based in our corporate offices.

Key responsibilities include:

Process monthly payroll using ELMO software

Support payroll audits as requested

Generate payroll reports and analyse statistical data, as require

Processing of resignations, including finalising resignation acceptances and final payments

Assist with recruitment, selection and onboarding of new employees

Assist with roster management, including roster changes

Issuing Employment Variations and HR Notifications

Develop key relationships in the business

Raising of Purchase Orders through Pronto

Provide assistance with management of ELMO HR System, including resetting of passwords, processing job changes and updating rosters.

Other HR tasks as required

Qualifications, Skills & Experience

Experience using ELMO (Keypay platform) payroll system (desirable)

Experience in the resources industry with various FIFO rosters

High attention to detail and level of accuracy while processing payroll

Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism

Working knowledge of current payroll practices, including but not limited to roster management, leave accruals and TOIL accruals

Working knowledge of the Fair Work Act and Modern Awards, ensuring that you remain up to date of employment law and compliance requirements

Previous experience working within the mining/resources industry will be highly regarded

Strong computer literacy, including Microsoft Office

Ability to work autonomously while building collaborative relationships

Ability to analyse and communicate financial information

Effective verbal and written communication skills
