About the role

Taxnet Business Consultants' is seeking an Intermediate Taxation Business Services Accountant to join our team in Mount Waverley, Victoria. This full-time role will play a crucial part in providing high-quality tax and business advisory services to our diverse client base.

What you'll be doing

• Preparing accurate and timely tax returns, business activity statements and other tax compliance documents for clients
• Providing expert tax planning and advisory services to help clients minimise their tax obligations and maximise their financial position
• Analysing financial data, identifying tax-saving opportunities and making strategic recommendations to clients
• Liaising with clients, ATO representatives and other stakeholders to ensure efficient and effective tax management
• Mentoring and training junior team members to develop their tax and business advisory skills
• Contributing to the continuous improvement of our tax and advisory services

What we're looking for

• 8+ years of experience in a taxation or business services accounting role, ideally within a professional services firm
• Thorough understanding of Australian tax legislation, compliance requirements and regulations
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to provide practical and commercially-focused advice
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships with clients
• Proven track record of delivering high-quality work and meeting deadlines
• Tertiary qualifications in Accounting or a related field, and a current CPA or CA designation
