About the role
We are seeking a motivated, proactive and detail-oriented Tax and Business Services Accountant to join our dynamic team on a permanent, full-time basis. If you’ve got a good foundation in accounting, enjoy working with clients, and are eager to take on more responsibility in a supportive, growth-focused environment, this is an excellent opportunity for you! Your day-to-day will include:

Preparing financial statements and tax returns for individuals, trusts, companies, and partnerships.

Supporting business advisory projects, including tax planning, financial modelling, asset acquisitions and disposals, restructures, and compliance.

Mentoring junior staff, reviewing their work, and assisting with workflow management.

Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, serving as a trusted advisor who adds value.

Preparing and lodging BAS, IAS and GST returns.

Helping clients enhance their processes through the implementation of intelligent accounting systems tools.

What we're looking for:

Minimum of 3 years’ experience in public practice.

A degree in Accounting, Commerce, or Business (preferably with a major in Accounting).

Enrolled in or planning to commence studies for a CPA or CA designation (preferred but not required).

A sound understanding of Australian taxation laws and regulations

Strong technical skills in preparing financial statements and tax returns across various structures.

Confident using Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks, and similar tools.

Excellent communication skills – written and verbal.

Excellent client relationship skills and can work independently and as part of a team.

High attention to detail, strong time management, and a proactive approach.
