We are currently recruiting for an Architectural Project Manager for our client, a Local Council based in South-Western Sydney. This is an initial contract until July 2026 (with possibility of extension) with a pay rate of $76.91ph + super for 35 hours per week.

The Architectural Project Manager will manage the concept design of key masterplans, building and public domain projects. They will balance risk, program, cost and design integrity. The Project Manager will work closely with external consultant teams, building relationships and ensuring the best outcome for each project. The role will have a strong focus on community engagement and communication as well as meeting legislative and governance requirements.

Key Accountabilities:

• Lead place specific masterplans for public places and buildings
• Undertake needs analysis, prepare internal project briefs defining quality, scope, budget and program for each project
• Project manage the concept design and development of key building and infrastructure projects identified by Council
• Prepare expression of interests, quotations and tenders

Key Requirements

• Tertiary qualifications in Architecture, Landscape Architecture, Urban Design, Engineering or other relevant discipline
• Minimum 3 years post-graduate experience in Project Management. Qualifications in Project Management would be highly desirable;
• Extensive demonstrated experience in project managing the design of complex capital works/building projects and public domain projects
• Experience in working within multi-discipline teams including Architects, Landscape Architects and Designers, Artists, Engineers, Contract Managers, Quantity Surveyors, Contractors;
• Previous similar experience in Local Government or State Government
