Be the Heartbeat of our service delivery operations: The Role
We’re seeking a proactive and highly organised Scheduling Officer to join our Service Provision team. Reporting to the Client Liaison Officer – Service Provision, you’ll play a central role in ensuring our clients receive consistent, high-quality care by managing the rostering of support workers across multiple programs.
This role requires strong coordination and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively with support staff, management, and clients. In this full-time, office-based role, you’ll be working Monday to Friday, collaborating with a dedicated team to organise effective scheduling, manage maintenance requests, and ensure the accuracy of records critical to our operations.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and maintain rosters across SIL, SDA, Respite, and Community programs
- Ensure efficient shift allocation to minimise disruption and meet client needs
- Input client shifts and templates into rostering systems in line with service requirements and Award conditions
- Work closely with Service Delivery Managers, Clinical Lead, and Client Liaison Officers to ensure accurate staff and client information
- Communicate with clients and families regarding roster changes, and provide timely support to staff
- Maintain accurate electronic records and support audits for compliance and quality improvement
- Support the maintenance of Breakaway-managed properties and respond to maintenance requests
- Participate in after-hours on-call roster as required
- Provide admin support including reporting, leave and timesheet coordination, and data entry for payroll
- Contribute to a collaborative team culture that aligns with Breakaway’s mission and values
What You Bring to the Role
- Excellent problem-solving, time management, and communication skills
- Strong relationship-building skills with staff and stakeholders
- Demonstrated ability to manage high-volume rostering under Award conditions
- Minimum 4 years of administrative experience (essential)
- Experience in managing 24-hour, 7-day rosters (advantageous).
- Experience in disability services and knowledge of the NDIS (desirable)
- Confidence using Microsoft Office and rostering/databases (essential)
- Experience in property or facilities coordination (advantageous or willingness to learn)
- Current Blue Card and NDIS Worker Screening (or willingness to obtain)
- Current Driver’s Licence
