Job Title: Senior Business Analyst

• $1000 per day + super
• contract until 31st December 2025 + extension
• Parramatta + WFH
• Capture Business Requirements to facilitate the build of Power BI reports

About the Role:

The Senior Business Analyst will engage with stakeholders to capture business requirements to faciliate the build of Power BI reports.

You will be required to facilitate design and requirement elicitation, analyse existing environments, uncover dependencies, identify processes, and detail final desired state.

You will then create documents required including but not restricted to high level Business Requirements Document (BRD), detailed BRD, data glossary, interface contracts, and UAT plan, and contribute to a high performing team and acts to ensure project management excellence and continuous project improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Be the contact person between business stakeholders, report owner and the technical teams by gathering and translating business needs into technical requirements.
• Consult with stakeholders to build understanding of their business processes and needs to determine the approach and methodology to be adopted in delivering quality analysis to meet their requirements.
• Prepare, plan and manage end to end BA activities within the Data Analytics team portfolio, to ensure the delivery of high quality and timely outcome objectives
• Provide specialised subject matter knowledge and business analysis expertise to support high level advice and guidance to the Director and senior management in assessing and evaluating their systems, processes and procedures to enable the achievement of strategic objectives.
• Work closely with technical resources to breakdown requirements into user stories for various technology components within azure services like ETL, data storage, security considerations etc

Key Skills

• End-to-end business analysis experience: planning, preparing and conducting workshops / meetings with stakeholders / participants for business requirements gathering, process mapping etc.
• Extensive experience in business analysis for Business Intelligence and Analytics with in-depth knowledge of various user patterns and writing technical specifications.
• Knowledge and experience in working in the MS Azure components and solutions.
• Experience in reviewing test plan and coverage to the business requirements.
