Job Advert: Commercial Credit Analyst

Mars Recruitment is partnered with a non-bank lender who is looking for an experienced Credit Analyst to join their growing and dynamic credit team. This role offers the chance to work closely with the Credit Manager in a collaborative environment where your contributions will have an impact.

The ideal candidate will have commercial lending experience and a demonstrated history of operating with a DLA. You should possess a strong analytical mindset with experience in assessing complex credit applications, ideally within a non-bank lending environment.

Role and Responsibilities:

• Conducting detailed credit assessments and decisioning in line with responsible lending practices for residential and commercial applications
• Supporting the development and review of credit policies and procedures
• Liaise and build strong relationships with third-party introducers
• Providing expert advice to staff or brokers on loan applications, eligibility, and verification processes

Essential Criteria:

• Ideally 3-5 years experience in commercial credit assessment, preferably in a non-bank lender
• Product knowledge in Commercial mortgages, SMSF lending, and residential lending
• Previously held a DLA or underwriting authority preferred
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a customer-centric mindset
• Knowledge of the National Credit Code Protection Act, Privacy Act, and AML/CTF legislation
• Bachelor level qualification in Business, Finance or related field
