About the role

Smithys Driving School is seeking an experienced Subcontract Driving Instructor to join our team on a contract basis driving our car. In this role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality driving instruction to students mostly in the Logan, Queensland area. As a contract position, this role offers flexibility and the opportunity to work with a dynamic, supportive team dedicated to helping our students achieve their goals.

What you'll be doing

Providing one-on-one driving instruction to students of all skill levels

Ensuring students' safety and adherence to all traffic laws and regulations

Monitoring students' progress and providing constructive feedback to help them improve their driving skills

Maintaining accurate records of student performance and session details

Collaborating with the Smithys Driving School team to develop effective teaching strategies and curriculum

Adhering to all company policies and procedures related to driving instruction

What we're looking for

Completion of an accredited driving instructor training program and a current driving instructor's licence

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively instruct and motivate students

Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities to handle various driving scenarios

Flexibility and adaptability to accommodate students' schedules and learning styles

A commitment to providing a positive and supportive learning environment for all students

What we offer

Operating as a paperless company, your client schedule will be managed through a user-friendly app, while we handle all background scheduling and phone calls. We offer $50 per one-hour session, with you driving our 2023 Hyundai i20N. We’re looking for a dedicated candidate available to serve at least five clients per day. Flexibility to work weekends and take weekdays off is preferred, though not mandatory. For those who demonstrate enthusiasm and dedication, we may cover the cost of the instructor course in exchange for a 12-month commitment.
