Building Skills Centre are seeking a highly motivated and hands-on individual who upholds the highest standards and will lead by example. You will have demonstrated success in a similar role within an RTO/TAFE environment or be passionate about moving into vocational education delivery and have a commitment to ensuring best practice in training and assessment. You will possess a keen interest in imparting your industry knowledge to those eager to learn and expand their careers as carpenters through an apprenticeship model.
It is critical that you can create and foster close working relationships with all key staff within the team and be able build strong relationships with students and employers. To do this they will be a good communicator, supportive and have a 'can-do' attitude.
Your key responsibilities will include but not limited to:
Deliver high quality training and assessment of the CPC30220 Certificate III in Carpentry qualification in part or full in our fully equipped training centre in Warrnambool, Potentially providing a fill in role at our Geelong and Ballarat training centres.
Ordering training materials from hardware suppliers
Conducting onsite enrolment of apprentices
Sending out training reminder messages to apprentices for upcoming scheduled training
Participate in validation and moderation meetings for the review, comparison and evaluation of assessment processes, tools and evidence against competency standards
Comply with our policies and procedures for training and assessment
Accurately maintain records of student progress and assessment
Skills, Experience & Qualifications:
Experience working as a qualified Carpenter across varied building sites and projects
TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment qualification (or approved equivalent)
CPC30220 Certificate III in Carpentry or equivalent qualifications
Current working with children check.
Hold a valid driver’s licence.
