Central Australian Aboriginal Media Association (CAAMA) is Australia’s premier First Nations media institution, celebrating its 45th anniversary. As the country’s first licensed Aboriginal broadcaster, CAAMA is committed to cultural preservation, storytelling, and amplifying the voices of First Nations people. With a state-of-the-art FM radio station in Mparntwe/Alice Springs and a network of 12 studios and further retransmission sites, CAAMA reaches audiences from the Top End to Coober Pedy and beyond.

About the Opportunity

CAAMA is looking for a part-time or contract Radio Sales Officer based in Alice Springs, NT.

Purpose of role: Secure and manage partnerships and sponsorship to support CAAMA’s radio and network requirements and contribute to organisational sustainability.

Main duties and responsibilities

Generating sponsorship for CAAMA

Prospecting for new clients including developing and presenting proposals

Develop and maintain marketing relationships with local and national stakeholders

Oversee/participate in production of spots, community announcements and related content

Oversee preparation of sales reports, call sheets and sales forecasts as required

Develop and keep updated rate cards, sales plan, and other marketing tools

Load and manage contracts for promos, spots and other items in the traffic/playout system Aquira (training is available)

Qualifications & experience

Creativity and excellent interpersonal and organisational skills.

Experience in interacting with traffic and playout systems highly regarded.

Computer literacy required.

The discipline to work autonomously.

Training and on-the-job mentoring will be available as well as support to pursue formal qualifications for example in Business or Marketing
