POSITION STARTING EARLY MAY

Position Overview

The delivery driver is responsible for transporting goods as required by Highline Joinery. This role encompasses the operation of equipment, working within a team environment and adhering to safety and technical requirements at all times.

Duties

Transporting goods to and from a variety of locations, ensuring punctual delivery and optimal conditions upon arrival.

Loading and unloading joinery and all elements required for the job – at times strenuous physical labour will be required.

Performing vehicle safety checks each day.

Contacting and keeping clients up to date about their delivery schedule.

Handover of any install paperwork and/or any other paperwork to the client/installer.

Driving at all times in a legal and professional manner, keeping in mind the reputation of the organisation.

Providing professional customer service at all times.

Inspecting each item before loading and unloading to ensure there are no damages.

Maintain a safe working environment by cleaning and disposing of old materials.

Perform any other duties at the discretion of Management.

Essential Requirements

A valid Australian Medium Rigid driver’s licence

Ability to perform strenuous lifting and loading of goods

Diligence and attention to details in handling paperwork

Neat, professional appearance and the ability to deal with customers

Ability to work independently or with others

Maintain open communication with clients and managers/directors

Ability to work in a safe and responsible manner

Sound literacy and numeracy skills

Correctly wear and maintain items of personal protective clothing and equipment

Take reasonable care for your own health and safety and for the health and safety of anyone else that may be affected by your actions or omissions whilst at work

Report any incidents within the workplace without delay
