About the role

JHL Lawyers' are seeking a motivated and experienced Conveyancing Paralegal to join our dynamic legal team in Surfers Paradise, QLD. As a Conveyancing Paralegal, you will play a vital role in supporting our conveyancing practice, handling property transactions and ensuring a seamless client experience. We are not a conveyancing company- we are a law firm. We do not offer “conveyor belt” cheap conveyancing and high volume work. We offer attentive prestige service with full access to our clients. The successful applicant will get full support from the Principal along with guidance and training.

What you'll be doing

Providing administrative support to conveyancing lawyers, including drafting and reviewing contracts, liaising with clients and other parties, and coordinating the settlement process

Conducting property searches, title investigations, and other due diligence activities

Preparing and lodging documents with the relevant authorities, such as the Land Titles Office

Maintaining accurate and up-to-date client files and records

Providing exceptional customer service to clients throughout the conveyancing process

Assisting with other ad-hoc legal and administrative tasks as required

PEXA settlements and Leap software

What we're looking for

Minimum 2 years' experience as a Conveyancing Paralegal or in a similar role within a legal environment

Strong understanding of conveyancing procedures and relevant legislation

Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work accurately

Proficient in using legal software and technology to support the conveyancing process

Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with clients, lawyers, and other stakeholders

A commitment to providing high-quality customer service and a proactive, problem-solving mindset
