Technical Sales Engineer

As a Technical Sales Engineer you will be a part of the Technical Sales team providing support to both the commercial and operational functions to deliver best in class customer service and product.

Working locally but as part of a much larger Global Marketing Communications team, this role requires you to liaise and network with a broad range of stakeholders. This role provides technical expertise and delivers innovative solutions to our customer base. The role also works closely with the National Pre-Sales Manager to develop and implement growth strategies.

The Opportunity

The Technical Sales Engineer plays a vital role in ensuring the success of construction projects by providing both pro-active and re-active technical support to stakeholders.

Key responsibilities include:

Promoting engineered construction solutions to external stakeholders during conferences, trade shows and sponsored events.

Organising and conducting technical seminars webinars to engineers, architects and consultants.

Undertaking technical and site enquiries to resolve project design issues and educating specifiers the recommended application and installation of Leviat range of products.

Providing support to sales activities including EOIs, tenders and product testing and approvals for major projects.

Collaborating with other internal departments to provide technical solutions.

Build and maintain internal and external customer relationships.

Analyse and explore market trends, identifying new opportunities/risk analysis, and potential income streams/acquisitions.

What We’re Looking For

Interest and passion for identifying customer needs/challenges and finding innovative solutions

Degree qualified in structural engineering or similar

Experience in detailed design is highly desirable

Demonstrated technical, analytical and problem solving skills

Excellent communicator with strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise with people at all levels.

Demonstrated drive and initiative with a strong desire to learn and grow within a company

Ability to work autonomously, organised and ability to work to tight deadlines

Strong systems skills with advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office and AutoCAD
