About You:

You are a detail-oriented Design Engineer with 4 to 6 years of experience in structural engineering. You thrive in solving complex engineering challenges and take pride in delivering high-quality designs while meeting deadlines and budgets. You are proactive, technically proficient, and take full ownership of your work.

You have experience in designing timber, steel, masonry, and reinforced concrete structures. You are confident in working independently while also thriving in a collaborative environment, supporting and mentoring junior engineers. You embody a growth mindset and are always looking to refine your skills and elevate your expertise.

Key Accountabilities:

· Undertake design and delivery of projects with increased autonomy and accountability.

· Work closely with senior engineers, assisting in project management and client interactions.

· Execute design tasks within allocated budgets, demonstrating results-focused performance.

· Engage with clients to discuss project scope, changes, and budget estimates.

· Conduct mid-level site inspections for footings, slabs, timber & steel framing, masonry, and reinforced concrete structures.

· Mentor junior engineers, explaining fundamental structural concepts and guiding them in design software standards.

· Attend client and consultant meetings, providing constructive input and debriefing senior engineers.

· Develop and refine technical skills, ensuring proficiency in design software and industry standards.

· Take responsibility for structural documentation, including design markups, sketches, and structural reports.

· Ensure the accuracy of designs, technical documentation, and overall project deliverables.

Skills & Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s Degree in Structural Engineering or a related field.

· 4 to 6 years of experience in structural engineering.

· Strong technical knowledge of timber, steel, masonry, and reinforced concrete structures.

· Experience in structural design and documentation.

· Familiarity with industry codes and structural design software.

· Strong communication and teamwork skills.

· Ability to take ownership of projects, demonstrating accountability and results-driven performance.

· Driver’s licence and workplace health and safety white card
