A bit about the role
Make a real impact in the community as our Venue Operations Officer. You'll be the primary point of contact for hirers, guiding them through the booking journey while collaborating with production and operations teams to bring events to life.
You will collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure efficient event scheduling and delivery, maintaining a balanced calendar of events.
What you’ll deliver
- Coordinate venue hire inquiries, assess scheduling conflicts, and prepare booking proposals.
- Collaborate with the Programming Arts Team to align commercial hirers with the Creative Communities Program.
- Ensure successful event delivery by coordinating with Operations, Production, and managing communication with hirers.
- Maintain event calendar, support booking system management, and ensure accurate data entry for reporting.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with hirers, ensuring efficient customer service and engagement.
- Contribute to risk assessments and proactively identify and resolve scheduling issues in collaboration with the Creative Communities team.
What you’ll bring
- Arts degree or diploma with relevant experience, or equivalent qualifications and event booking experience.
- Proven experience in venue and event booking, scheduling and administration
- Proficiency in Momentus/Ungerboeck or similar event management system an advantage
- Knowledge and experience in invoicing, account monitoring and basic book keeping
- Proficiency in Microsoft applications is required and experience with venue scheduling systems is preferred)
- Willingness to undergo pre-employment background checks including National Criminal History Check, Working with Children Check and Eligibility to Work check
