Chef de Partie / Cook

Full-Time Position $73,500 - $80,000 pa

We are currently looking for an experienced Cook and Senior Chef de Partie to join our kitchen team.

You will need to:

Hold a commercial kitchen qualification, or equivalent.

Have the appropriate training and understanding of health and safety practices.

Have exceptional level of hygiene and take pride in your appearance.

A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role.

Have excellent communication skills.

Be able to work in a busy, fast-paced kitchen.

Be team orientated.

Have a passion for food and the hospitality industry, with a genuine interest in producing high standard cuisine.

Be able to take direction and follow instructions.

Be able to portion food.

Be pro-active and ensure your section is properly prepared and ready for service.

Be confident to work in different sections of the kitchen, including cold and hot larder, grill and pizza sections.

Consistent with presentation and quality of food.

Examine food product to ensure quality and to meet our high standards.

Understand how to store food in a temperature-controlled environment, following kitchen health regulations.

Be able to store food correctly in the dry food store.

Ensure food stock is correctly labelled and rotated.

Have a positive and can-do attitude.
