- The Infrastructure and Asset Management Division is looking for a motivated and diligent individual to join our team as a Senior Project Officer – Assurance and Performance. This position offers an exciting opportunity to engage in improving the asset management maturity & helping with assurance and performance activities in Asset Management Branch of Ministry of Health.
- This position is a key position to engage with all Health Entities and help ensure that the right data is being used to make vital decisions on asset management.

In this role, you will be responsible for assessing the maturity of asset management systems across LHDs through annual maturity assessments. You will also play a key role in validating and auditing Health Entities AMP submissions, ensuring that the data is accurate, reliable, and supports effective decision-making. You’ll be tasked with reviewing utilisation rates and assessing key metrics such as asset condition, maintenance cost, lifecycle, and performance against benchmarks. The position requires tactful communication when providing feedback on HE’s submissions, especially when the results are unfavourable.
The role provides you with the chance to work directly with Health Entities to improve their performance, ensuring compliance with the standards set by the Ministry, and help in the continuous improvement of asset management practices.
Crown Clerk 9/10, starting salary from $125,693 - $138,510 plus Super and annual leave loading, with a 35-hour work week.

What you'll be doing
The role includes:
- Conduct annual maturity assessments of Health Entities asset management systems, identifying strengths and areas for improvement.
- Validate and audit Health Entities submissions to ensure the accuracy of the data provided, using a range of metrics to assess the effectiveness of asset management processes.
- Evaluate asset utilisation rates, condition assessments, maintenance costs, lifecycle projections, and compliance with industry benchmarks.
- Provide feedback to Health Entities on the outcomes of your audits, using tactful communication to report unfavourable responses and encouraging improvements.
- Collaborate with Health Entities to enhance asset management practices and provide expert advice on best practices.
- Assist in reporting on asset data to senior management, ensuring that data is used to make informed decisions.
- Monitor and support the alignment of Health Entities asset management systems with Ministry requirements and standards.
