Youth Worker - Mascot

Part Time – 15.2 hours per week

Tuesday – 9:30am–5:30pm, Wednesday - 10:00am– 6:00pm

(Short term contract until 31 December 2025, with the possibility of extension pending future funding).

Make a difference in your community with South Eastern Community Connect (SECC)

We are seeking a passionate and enthusiastic Youth Worker to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will focus on youth engagement programs, community outreach activities and school holiday events.

About the role

Facilitate and manage youth-focused programs i.e., youth drop-in sessions and tutoring

Develop, coordinate and facilitate community outreach activities

Participate in community events and festivals

Contribute where necessary with our Peoples Pantry

Supervise and support volunteers involved in youth and community outreach activities

What SECC is looking for

Tertiary qualification in youth, community services, social work or related field

Demonstrated experience in delivering programs in a community / school / youth setting

Excellent communication skills including verbal, written and cross culture

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Experience in facilitating Rage and / or Love Bites sessions (or similar)

High level administrative / organizational skills and the ability to multi-task

The ability to interact with a range of clients and other professionals

Current NSW Drivers licence and regular access to a vehicle

Current First Aid/CPR/WWCC Certificate (or willingness to get one)

Salary: SCHADS Award Level 3.1 ($37.35 p/h) – Level 4.1 ($43.08 p/h) depending on experience
