We are currently seeking an experienced Drilling Technician to join our team in Coffs Harbour, NSW. In this full-time role, you will play a vital part in the successful delivery of Horizontal Directional Drilling (HDD) projects by operating and maintaining specialised drilling equipment and ensuring the safe, accurate, and efficient execution of underground drilling operations.

Key Tasks & Responsibilities:

· Operate and control horizontal directional drilling (HDD) equipment in accordance with project plans, ground conditions, and safety standards.

· Set up and calibrate drilling rigs and associated machinery to ensure accurate bore paths.

· Monitor drilling parameters and adjust operational techniques in real-time to optimise performance and minimise risk.

· Conduct routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and minor repairs of drilling equipment to prevent breakdowns and delays.

· Interpret utility plans and site-specific data to plan and execute drill paths safely and efficiently.

· Prepare detailed technical reports and job logs for internal records and compliance.

· Ensure that all drilling activities comply with Australian safety regulations, environmental guidelines, and project-specific requirements.

· Collaborate with site supervisors and clients to align project outcomes and resolve technical issues on site.

Skills and Qualifications:

Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar position.

Keen attention to detail.

Strong communication skills (written and verbal).

Exceptional problem-solving skills and focus.
