The Role:

We are seeking a skilled Dental Technician to join our in-house laboratory in Hervey Bay, working closely with our Principal Dental Surgeon to deliver high-quality restorations. The role focuses on CAD design for full arch All-on-4 restorations, ceramics (crowns, bridges, and veneers), and implants (including custom abutments), combining digital workflows with some analogue techniques. This includes surgical planning in collaboration with dentists and production of surgical guides including fully guided stackable guides. This position emphasizes collaboration, precision, and versatility in a team-oriented setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the Principal Dental Surgeon to design and fabricate restorations tailored to patient needs.

• Use Exocad, Blender for Dental, Real Guide, CoDiagnostiX, and other CAD software to design full arch All-on-4 restorations (provisionals and finals).

• Craft ceramics, including crowns, bridges, and veneers, ensuring aesthetic and functional excellence.

• Design and produce custom implant abutments and implant-supported restorations. Design and produce splints, mouthguards and whitening trays when required.

• Operate 5 axis milling machines and 3D printers for in-house production.

• Perform analogue tasks, such as waxing, casting, and finishing, and acrylic manipulations including relines as required.

• Maintain lab equipment and adhere to clinic safety and quality standards. Including complete laboratory management of workflow, consumables, equipment maintenance and job orders.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Dental Technician, with strong proficiency in Exocad and other CAD softwares.

• Expertise in full arch implant restorations (All-on-4 experience preferred). This is a primary job focus.

• Skilled in ceramics (crowns, bridges, veneers) and implant restorations, including custom abutments.

• Hands-on experience with milling, 3D printing, and analogue workflows. Complex prints for guides will be required.

• Familiarity with Blender for Dental, Real Guide, or CoDiagnostiX is a plus.

• Strong team player with excellent communication skills to work closely with the Principal Dental Surgeon and delegates.

• Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality and patient satisfaction.

• Valid work authorization (sponsorship available for exceptional candidates).
