North Scape is a boutique landscape construction business based in Brisbane – We are fortunate enough work alongside some of Brisbane’s most in demand and respected Landscape Architects, building a diverse and substantial portfolio of jobs and clients - this has presented us with the opportunity to expand our core business with a dedicated Landscape Maintenance Division, this will ensure that our clients continue to receive the same level of attention to detail and professionalism that they have come to expect.

For that reason, North Scape is seeking an experienced Maintenance Leading Hand and keen Landscape Maintenance Apprentices.

The Role

Landscape Maintenance Leading Hand

This position will suit a qualified and or experienced landscape maintenance technician who has a minimum three years garden maintenance experience.

A well-rounded knowledge of plant species, turf care, weed management and pest and disease identification and control;

The perceptiveness to identify problems and the experience to think critically and come up with effective solutions;

The capability and confidence to manage a project independently with limited supervision;

Hardworking and honest - taking pride in your work and continually striving to maintain the highest level of quality and professionalism in your work;

Be willing to accept praise, open to advice and the maturity to take criticism in a constructive way;

Open to work within the Construction team when required;

Willingness to learn and open to expand on the basic model of Garden Maintenance.

Certificate III Parks and Gardens and/or Horticulture or demonstrate that same level of learned knowledge and experience; and

Must have a manual driver’s license.

Core Duties

General garden maintenance tasks, such as but not limited to…….

Pest control, weeding, pruning, hedging, mulching, mowing, edging and fertilising;

Communicating and liaising with clients, suppliers, and office staff;

Managing time effectively to complete tasks at each project;

Complete irrigation system repairs and basic trouble shooting;

Operating maintenance equipment including power tools in accordance with OH&S procedures;

Report writing and quality control; and

Prepare quotes and scope of works (not a requirement)
