Major Road Projects Victoria (MRPV) is delivering a massive investment in the state's roads. We're delivering major new road projects across metropolitan Melbourne and regional Victoria while improving the roads people rely on every day.

The West Gate Tunnel Project will give Melbourne a second freeway link between the west and the city - providing a much-needed alternative to the West Gate Bridge and a vital second river crossing.

North East Link will fix the missing link in Melbourne's freeway network with new 6.5 km tunnels from Watsonia to Bulleen. We're also overhauling the Eastern Freeway and completing the M80 Ring Road at Greensborough.

Road Programs are also delivering dozens of new roads, bridges, road widening projects and major freeway upgrades.

Job description:

Major Road Projects Victoria
STS, Senior Planner & Scheduler

• Hybrid working environment.
• 3 years fixed term, STS - $182,813.00 - $248,629.00+ super & benefits.
• This role will be located at 180 Lonsdale St and other offices as required.

Join us in building better connections for Victoria by:

1. Developing project programs to ensure completion targets and schedules are realistic and performance can be readily monitored, managed and reported for all phases of the project lifecycle.
2. Advising senior management on schedule, interface and performance issues arising and recommend improvements and mitigation actions to ensure project programs are robust and able to be delivered within the required time frames.
3. Providing support, expert advice and contribution to the development of project programs and be able to communicate the time impact of scope change on project delivery.
4. Contribute to the preparation of Master Schedule for the project.
5. Provide support, expert advice and contribution to the development of ‘time phased' project resources, budget and cost plans as necessary to ensure clarity of project delivery and assist in Earned Value Management System (EVMS) reporting and validate accuracy of the data/reports
6. Undertaking detailed review and evaluation of subcontractor's programs to identify dependent and interdependent activities and incorporate into master program advising management on performance and any mitigations.
7. Where individual project performance activities vary significantly from agreed targets, assist in the development of mitigation strategies and action plan to return the project activities to the required performance standards.

This opportunity is a 3-year fixed-term.

It will be a requirement to travel and spend time at one or all our site offices.
