We're expanding our Pre-Contracts team!

Our Pre-Contracts team are highly experienced in delivering hard dollar civil and complex mining projects, providing expert engineering solutions including Cost Estimating, Methodologies, Programming, Constructability Reports, and Contractual Claim Management.

We’re looking for an experienced Senior Planner to join our team and play a crucial role in project planning, scheduling, and performance tracking.

THE OPPORTUNITY

We’re looking for a talented Senior Planner to join our team in a full-time capacity. As a Senior Planner, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining project schedules, ensuring timely delivery, and proactively managing risks. You’ll work closely with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders to provide scheduling expertise, improve efficiency, and support successful project execution. The role is flexible, offering a hybrid working style – with working from home arrangements, and from our Sunshine Coast office. Visits to our clients’ offices may also be required and will be on an as need basis.

Reporting to our Principal Senior Civil Estimator, you will be responsible for delivering your expertise, insight and project management support for a diverse range of clients and projects including:

• Mining infrastructure;
• Transport infrastructure;
• Earthworks;
• Utilities including water, sewer, drainage, and pump stations; and
• Contract mining.

ABOUT YOU

• Relevant qualifications in Engineering, Project Management, or a related field (preferred).
• Minimum five (5) years’ experience in project planning and scheduling.
• Advanced understanding and use of several systems including Expert Estimation, Asta Power Project, MS Project, Primavera P6, ModelRisk.
• Proven experience managing multiple projects and meeting tight deadlines.
• Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills to anticipate and resolve scheduling challenges.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
• Knowledge of construction regulations and standards.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

• Develop and manage detailed project schedules using Primavera P6, MS Project, or similar tools.
• Work with project teams to define timelines, milestones, and deliverables.
• Conduct critical path analysis to identify risks and develop mitigation strategies.
• Support cost control and budgeting by integrating schedules with financial planning.
• Conduct what-if analysis to evaluate different scheduling scenarios.
• Drive continuous improvement in planning and scheduling processes.
• Ensure compliance with contractual and company scheduling requirements.
