The Role

The Cafe Assistant will be responsible for delivering a high-quality food and beverage experience, ensuring excellent customer service, maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen and cafe areas, and supporting team members in providing a vibrant and welcoming atmosphere. This role is essential in contributing to the overall success of the cafe, creating a positive experience for all patrons.

Candidate Must have barista experience and be skilled in making quality coffee.

Take orders and serve food and beverages in a friendly and professional manner.

Handle cash transactions and ensure accuracy in processing payments.

Maintain cleanliness and organisation in the kitchen and cafe areas.

Set up the cafe and assist with events/functions as required.

Work collaboratively with the team to ensure all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.

Build and maintain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Complete necessary documentation in accordance with policies and procedures.

Report any incidents or events to management as per company policy.

Promote Goodwin's reputation by maintaining a high standard of service and professionalism.

Commit to ongoing skills training and attend relevant sessions as required.

Ensure adherence to workplace health and safety protocols and organisational policies.

Certificate qualifications in hospitality or equivalent.

Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certification.
