Finncare is a highly regarded provider of Aged Care, Retirement Living and Home and Community Care currently operating a 61-bed ageing in place facility. We are seeking a self-motivated and experienced Kitchen Assistant to join our Catering Team to assist in the cooking and delivery of nutritious, balanced meals, including breakfasts, lunches and dinners, at our residential aged care facility located in Thornlands, south east of Brisbane.

The successful candidate is required to be available and flexible to work weekdays and weekends for a variety of shifts (operation of a fortnightly roster). A guaranteed hours per fortnight, with the option to accept further shifts.

Qualifications and experience

• Relevant qualification and/or previous experience working in a commercial kitchen, aged care or similar industry (desirable)
• Knowledge of food hygiene and safety
• Ability to work well in a team
• Commitment to customer service and quality aged care
• Mandated Vaccinations as per QLD Health
• Police check clearance will be conducted on successful candidate
• Dual language proficiency in Finnish and English highly regarded
