We have an opportunity for a fulltime Safe Haven Practice Manager.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced leader in Therapeutic / Trauma informed practice to join Glenhaven’s Safe Haven program based in our Northwest office in Ulverstone or our Northern office in Launceston.

Together with the Safe Haven Program Manager, the Safe Haven Practice Manager will inform and lead the development of the practice capacities throughout Glenhaven Family Care through training, consultation, development, review and documentation of best practice approaches. The Practice Manager will, through the implementation of best practice evidence-based approaches, oversee the provision of high-level quality care and support to children / young people with complex needs living in the Safe Haven program, and promote a nurturing and trusting environment that is conducive to therapeutic growth for children and staff.

We are looking for a person with extensive and demonstrated skills, experience and talent in therapeutic / trauma informed care as well as staff management experience who hold a relevant tertiary degree and who align with our values of Compassion, Hope, Respect, Integrity and Support.

As the Safe Haven Practice Manager, you will have:

A relevant tertiary qualification in Social Work, Psychology, Early Childhood Specialist and /or related Behavioural Sciences at degree level.

Extensive experience in a relevant industry, service or an equivalent level of expertise and experience to undertake the range of activities required.

Demonstrated experience in team leadership and management.

Knowledge of the Social, Community, Home Care & Disability Services Industry (SCHADS) Award is desirable.

Knowledge of the NDIS.

Familiarity with Child Safety Services and relevant statutory frameworks (e.g., Children, Young Persons and Their Families Act 1997; Child and Youth Safe Organisations Act 2023).

Excellent communication, organisational and attention to detail skills.

An ability to align with our organisational Christian heritage and practice Glenhaven's values.

Current frameworks in your own style of practice.

A caring nature, be patient, supportive, resilient, and passionate about people and your role.

A willingness to be available to take a call from Glenhaven's on-call staff after hours when needed.

Hold a current Working with Vulnerable People (NDIS endorsed) card.

Due to the inherent requirements of the advertised role, you are encouraged to ensure at all times whilst employed, you are vaccinated against the following: (a) COVID-19 (b) any other pandemic that is recommended under the National Health Management Strategy.

Hold a current (less than 12 months old) Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check or National Police Check or happy to submit to one.
