About the opportunity

We are looking for an experienced Business Development Manager in our Brisbane branch to service both offerings in the Queensland market. We have a large and loyal customer base, and we strive to deliver the best service in the industry. The successful candidate will be tasked in leveraging our existing customer base and establishing new markets for our expanding range of construction based products. The industry is fast paced and volume driven, so will suit someone with tenacity, initiative, strong sales ambitions and resilience.

You will be responsible for:

• Generating repeat and new business (including cold calling)
• Management and development of new accounts
• Identifying opportunities to promote/market a range of products and services
• Developing tailored solutions to service customer requirements
• Winning tenders and quotes
• Weekly reporting on Business and Market Activity
• Servicing existing client base
• Approaching potential clients
• Site inspections
• On site consultations
• Placing new orders
• Building the ATF Direct brand in the Queensland market

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Proven sales experience, preferably 5 years. Previous exposure to hire, construction, civil and/or government would be advantageous
• Construction knowledge with a focus on both the commercial and Housing Industry
• A focus on customer service and attention to detail
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Reliable transport
• Willingness to travel as required
• Sound computer skills
