About the role
Whitfield Community Kindergarten is looking for a dedicated and experienced Early Childhood Teacher to join our passionate team. This part-time position is a 12-month maternity leave cover, with the possibility of extension. Based in Whitfield, 4870, Qld, this role offers a meaningful opportunity to make a lasting impact on the lives of young children in our community.
What you'll be doing
Implementing and upholding the centre's philosophy in all aspects of your role and daily responsibilities
Actively collaborate with the teaching team, sharing ideas, insights, and best practices to create a supportive and enriching learning environment for children
Developing and delivering high-quality educational programs that foster the cognitive, physical, social and emotional development of children aged 3-5 years
Observe and assess children's progress, utilizing established documentation systems to guide and enhance your teaching practices
Collaborating with parents, caregivers and other professionals to support each child's individual needs and goals
Maintaining a safe, inclusive and engaging learning environment
Adhering to all relevant early childhood education regulations and policies
Participating in ongoing professional development to continuously improve your teaching practice
What we're looking for
Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or equivalent qualification
Registered or eligible for registration as an Early Childhood Teacher in Queensland
Demonstrated experience in developing and delivering engaging, play-based learning programs for children aged 3-5 years
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with children, families and colleagues
Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment
Excellent organisational and time management skills
Passion for early childhood education and a desire to make a positive impact on the lives of young children
