Achieve Group Australia is seeking an AO6 Project Officer to oversee and coordinate aerial treatment efforts within the Fire Ant Suppression Taskforce (FAST). This role involves project management, stakeholder engagement, and technical oversight to support the National Fire Ant Eradication Program.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement project management strategies for aerial fire ant treatment.
• Supervise and lead a small project team, ensuring efficient project delivery.
• Coordinate and track project deliverables, risks, and reporting.
• Manage data recording, mapping, and field data integration into the program’s IT systems.
• Provide technical advice to large landholders on fire ant management, including treatment, surveillance, and compliance.
• Plan and coordinate aerial treatment logistics and landholder support for ground-based treatment where necessary.
• Represent the department at workshops, meetings, and field days, engaging with stakeholders to promote fire ant management.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams within the National Fire Ant Eradication Program and FAST.
• Some weekend work may be required.

Mandatory Requirements:

• A current, unrestricted ‘C’ class driver’s licence.
• Must be an Australian citizen, permanent resident, or visa holder with full working rights.
• If not an Australian citizen, must provide visa documentation and notify of any changes.
