About the role

Banksia Grove Fish & Chips is seeking an experienced and passionate Retail Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our busy seafood restaurant located in Banksia Grove, WA. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for leading a team of dedicated young and energetic staff, ensuring exceptional customer service, and driving the overall success of the business.

What you'll be doing

Manage all aspects of the restaurant's operations, including inventory control, stock ordering, staffing and rostering, and working in the business.

Develop and implement effective marketing strategies to attract and retain customers

Ensure strict compliance with all relevant health, safety, and food hygiene regulations

Foster a positive and productive work environment, providing coaching, training and mentorship to your young team

Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and customer satisfaction

Analyse sales data and utilise insights to inform business decisions

Collaborate with the owners to contribute to the overall success and growth of the business.

What we're looking for

Minimum 3 years of experience in a retail or hospitality management role with hands on experience working in a fast-paced environment

Hold an Associate Degree, Advanced Diploma or Diploma, or have at least 3 years relevant experience

Proven track record of driving sales and profitability through effective leadership and customer service

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team with varying skills, background and age demographic

Passion & knowledge of seafood including identifying different types of fish varieties, how they taste and where they come from

Thorough understanding of health and safety regulations in the food service industry

Passion for the hospitality industry and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer experiences
