Are you an experienced operator with a passion for leading from the front? AUSPAN, a leading name in innovative shed construction and steel building solutions across WA, is on the lookout for a Leading Hand Operator with hands-on experience operating CAT equipment – including the CAT 315, CAT 306, and CAT 265 skid steer.

As a crucial part of our site crew, you’ll be responsible for ensuring our builds are completed safely, efficiently, and to the high standard our clients expect. You’ll lead by example, coordinate plant and personnel, and be the go-to for machinery operations and minor site works.

What You’ll Be Doing:

Operating a range of CAT machinery, including:

CAT 315 excavator (general site works, footings, trenching)

CAT 306 compact excavator (tight access and detailed work)

CAT 265 skid steer (materials handling, pad prep, clean-up)

Supervising and supporting a small crew to meet deadlines and quality standards

Assisting with shed construction, steel erection, and site prep tasks

Coordinating with project managers and subcontractors to keep everything running smoothly

Maintaining machinery and ensuring safe work practices on-site

We’re Looking For:

Proven experience operating CAT equipment – ideally the 315, 306, and 265 skid steer

Strong leadership skills and the ability to mentor a small crew

A can-do attitude and practical problem-solving skills

Willingness to travel regionally and work in outdoor environments
