We are looking for a Japanese native speaker for a Sydney-based Study Tours Sales Manager (full-time). Working with an international team based in Sydney, Singapore, Sao Paulo, Vietnam, China and the Philippines, you are responsible for Blue Sky Education study tour sales for the Japanese market (e.g., high school students from Japan travel to Australia for short-term study tours).
In addition to achieving and exceeding sales targets for Japan, you are also responsible for client support when the Japanese student groups are in Australia. Specifically, you will be responsible for the following areas:

- Achieve and exceed given sales targets/KPIs
- Manage and update client records in the Hubspot CRM system.
- Develop rapport and relationships with Japanese clients through formal means (office quarterly visits, presentations, and meetings in Australia and Japan) and informal means (charity events, informal work lunches).
- Proactively engage existing clients, anticipate their needs and challenges, and propose value-adding and new programs to ensure these existing clients return to Blue Sky for future business.
- Identify and acquire new clients through your own research, personal network, and attending education conferences and government and industry events to connect with potential Japan agents and schools.
- Develop client proposals and prepare costing for approval. Submit quotes and proposals on time. Proactively follow up with clients to close sales.
- Create Japanese-language marketing materials, including Japanese brochures and presentations.
While the main scope of the role is to generate sales from Japan, you will support the Australia office Managing Director in handling sales enquiries from other markets, including Hong Kong.
2. Australia In-bound Study Tour Client Support for Japanese study tour groups
- Attend and support logistics of programme arrival day welcome ceremony, Finale Night and key activities during camps. Ensure overseas study tour group leaders and teachers feel their needs are attended to.
- Respond to clients’ requests, feedback, or concerns and look for ways to improve the study tour delivery.
- Manage the relationship with Study Tour group leaders and teachers when study tours are running, building personal rapport and ensuring our clients are happy and return to Australia in the following years.
3. Australia Local Partnerships Initiation and Management
- Manage relationships with and identify new Japanese partners in Australia, including Japanese businesses with a presence in Australia. This includes, but is not limited to, Japanese companies, the Japan Chamber of Commerce, the Japan Expo, and Japanese Student Associations at various universities.
- Expand Blue Sky Education's reach and network of local partners in Sydney, Melbourne, Perth, Adelaide and Brisbane where our Study Tours operate.

- Ability to build rapport with students and clients. Enjoy working with teenagers and young students.
