GTC Asphalt Pty Ltd - small family owned and operated company, currently contracting to large Civil Companies completing Asphalt/Road Surfacing & Spray Seal in all locations across Sydney/New South Wales.

These positions will work with our current paving crews on various civil projects.

Available for night and day shift

Truck License (Preferred)

Machinery Tickets (Preferred)

A successful candidate will have successful prior experience working in an asphalt paving environment. They must have an uncompromising focus on safety.

Work behind the paver with a shovel or asphalt rake as needed, in between operating the truck.

Driving spray truck, bobcat truck, bitumen tanker

Operate other paving and heavy equipment as needed – such as rollers, and Bobcat.

Other duties, as assigned by leading hand or foreman.

Qualifications

Individual must be dedicated to operating safely at all times.

Valid MR/HR License (preferred)

Minimum of 1 year of experience in an asphalt paving operation – preferred, not required.

Physical ability to perform routine maintenance and daily cleaning of spray system on Distributor.

Ability and willingness to complete various labour tasks, as needed, as part of the asphalt crew.

Previous experience operating heavy equipment is preferred

Ability to maintain composure in stressful traffic or other situations.

Flexibility to work overtime and night shift

Team player with ability to get along with others.

Ability to pass pre-employment drug screen.

GTC Asphalt is also seeking experienced general asphalt labourers, and machine operators with a minimum of 1 year experience.

Working away will be required on occasion.
