A High Voltage (HV) Cable Jointer is required for a leading cable contractor. Projects involved are primarily for transmission and distribution projects and renewables (solar, wind, BESS).
Key Responsibilities:
Carry out HV cable jointing, termination, and testing activities in accordance with industry standards
Work on underground and overhead HV cable systems, ensuring safe and efficient installation
Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and work instructions
Conduct inspections, fault finding, and repairs on HV cable systems
Adhere to health, safety, and environmental regulations, including permit-to-work procedures
Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and site teams to ensure project success
Requirements:
Certified HV Cable Jointer qualification
Proven experience in jointing and terminating high-voltage cables (11kV–132kV) preferably in contractor environment
Strong understanding of electrical safety and HV network operations
Ability to work in confined spaces and outdoor environments
Valid industry certifications (e.g., Electrical License, First Aid, ESI training)
Willingness for high levels of travel and work on-site as required
