Sommelier / Floor Supervisor

We are Sax Café & Lounge Bar. A café by day and European lounge bar by night. We have created a unique space for guests to unwind, meet and enjoy our curated menus. Our guests are our main priority, ‘the Sax experience’ is something we are extremely proud of. We believe that great service is more than just efficiency—it’s about personality, warmth, and elegance. That’s where you come in.

We’re looking for a Sommelier / Floor Supervisor to bring their expertise, charm, and leadership to our front-of-house team. This is a mainly daytime role (30 -40 hours per week), ideal for someone who loves hospitality but values a balanced work-life schedule.

Key Responsibilities

Curate and manage our wine selection, offering pairings that enhance our menu.

Lead and support the front-of-house team, ensuring seamless service.

Bring warmth and personality to guest interactions, creating memorable dining experiences.

Maintain an elegant yet relaxed atmosphere that reflects our values.

Handle day-to-day floor operations, assisting with bookings, service, and team training.

A passionate sommelier with WSET qualifications

A natural host—someone who makes guests feel at home while delivering a refined experience.

Leadership skills with a hands-on approach to service.

A love for small, independent businesses and an appreciation for high-quality food and drink.

Availability for daytime shifts with occasional flexibility.
